A Creative Immersion into Your Deep Well of Imagination
Get ready for a transformational handbuilding experience with ceramic artist and mentor Sarah Wells Rolland. In this dynamic workshop, you’ll dive into the intuitive, playful, and powerful process of creating truly original work that emerges from your own artistic voice.
Sarah will guide you through the creative process of “what if?” and “why not?”, opening the door to curiosity, experimentation, and fearless exploration. Using soft Slabs, handmade texture tools, templates, straps, and slump molds as adaptable starting points, you’ll stretch your imagination while stretching the clay. You’ll explore creating ideas on paper, altering shapes, pushing forms, building textures, and enriching surfaces with expressive slip techniques, added clay and texture that bring depth and energy to your work.
Whether you’re seeking fresh inspiration or ready to expand your creative vocabulary, this workshop invites you to tap your deep well of creativity, take risks, and embrace the joy of discovery. Expect a weekend filled with momentum, learning, and the thrill of watching unexpected ideas come to life in clay.
