Bowls are at the heart of functional pottery, and this two-day intensive dives into making them both beautiful and purposeful. Julia will guide you through creating a range of forms, from everyday soup and salad bowls to larger pasta and mixing bowls, with a focus on strong form and thoughtful proportion.
On day two, you’ll build on those skills as you step into nesting bowls, a true milestone in a potter’s skillset. Julia will show you how to plan your forms, from choosing the right amount of clay to measuring rims and maintaining consistency, so your pieces come together as a cohesive set.
Leave with sharper techniques, a better eye for form, and the confidence to create your own nesting bowl sets.
